Management of sludge dewatering
To control the sludge dewatering, two ITXIL inline sludge meters have been installed in strategic positions. Both units are used for automatic regulation of the polymer dosage into the pre-dewaterer and centrifuge respectively. The sludge content from the Cerlic sensor is multiplied by the volume flow to obtain the TS flow, which in turn is used to factor in optimal polymer dosage. The information from the sludge content sensors is also used for manual control of the withdrawal of overcast sludge.
